Title: Bar Manager

Loews Arlington Hotel and Convention Center is a state-of-the-art, full-service meetings and resort destination located between Dallas and Fort Worth, near iconic sports stadiums Globe Life Field and AT&T Stadium. Job Specific Responsibilities:

Maintain beverage department staffing levels for optimal performance
Develop and approve all beverage department budgets, forecasts, and schedules
Establish and administer departmental guidelines, policies, and procedures
Ensure smooth, efficient, and cost-effective operation of all beverage outlets, including labor management, inventory control, and product selection
Oversee supervisory activities to ensure quality product and service delivery
Approve purchase requisitions and maintain operational costs within budget
Review daily payroll reports to control labor costs
Set appropriate par levels for beverage and supply inventories
Ensure security and proper use of operating supplies and equipment
Attend hotel meetings to stay informed of activities, promotions, and events
Communicate daily with outlet managers regarding daily operations and upcoming events
Evaluate team member performance, provide coaching, training, and counseling
Interview, select, train, appraise, and discipline team members according to company standards
Conduct departmental meetings to share relevant information
Assess guest needs and adjust products, services, and operations accordingly
Other duties as assigned

Maintain professionalism with guests, management, and coworkers
Follow emergency procedures and safety regulations
Attend required meetings and training
Maintain cleanliness and good condition of equipment and work areas
Comply with hotel policies, uniform, and grooming standards
Recycle when possible
Stay updated with hotel information and changes

Qualifications:

Thorough knowledge of wines, spirits, and legal aspects of beverage service (TIPS certified or equivalent)
Five to seven years of progressive management experience in large upscale hotel beverage operations
Ability to develop effective processes for operational efficiency and guest satisfaction
Responsible Vendor certification or ability to obtain
Strong management, leadership, organizational, and communication skills
Availability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays
