Bartender
Job Description
Position Summary: The Bartender understands and complies with alcohol serving laws. They prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages while interacting with customers, taking and serving food as needed. The Bartender maintains a clean and sanitized environment.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare cocktails and other drinks following recipes, including adding garnish.
- Serve members and customers promptly, check identification, accept payment, and answer questions.
- Maintain cleanliness by cleaning the bar surface, furniture, and equipment, and returning used dishware.
- Re-stock liquors, wines, beers, and non-alcoholic ingredients; replace beer barrels as needed.
- Reconcile the bar's cash register at the end of each shift.
Position Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1 to 2 years of bartending experience.
- Certification to serve alcohol.
- CPR/AED certification required within the first 30 days of hire.
- Ability to lift more than 20 lbs repeatedly.
- Ability to work in a stationary position and move about the café for prolonged periods.
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience with inventory management and ordering.
