Summary: Under general supervision, the Lead Bartender opens and closes the hotel Kitchen+Bar following company policies and procedures. This role maintains the food prep and bar areas in a clean and organized manner while serving and assisting guests. The team member must exhibit integrity, excellent service, and hospitality to promote the Drury culture among customers and fellow team members. A general knowledge of the hotel, local area, and events is necessary to answer guest questions.

Responsibilities:

Open and close the Kitchen+Bar according to company standards
Maintain cleanliness and organization of food prep and bar areas
Serve guests with a high standard of hospitality
Perform duties as bartender, prep cook, and cocktail server as needed
Handle cash transactions and operate POS and kitchen equipment
Obtain and maintain all required certifications
Manage difficult situations professionally while leading team members

Required Qualifications:

Must be at least 21 years old
Minimum one year bartending experience; two or more years bartending and supervisory experience preferred
High school diploma or equivalent required; two years of college preferred
Ability to follow written and verbal directions and communicate effectively in English
Ability to mix and serve a variety of drinks in a fast-paced environment
Ability to handle money accurately and use necessary equipment
Ability to open/close bar, obtain supplies, and maintain assigned areas
Ability to diplomatically handle difficult situations and maintain professionalism
